Introducing Home Management: A Service Custom Tailored to Suit Your Needs

How do we get it all done?  It is now the beginning of February and I find myself pondering this question more and more with each passing day.  The holiday season flew by for me. It is my favorite time of year and just so happens to be one of the busiest seasons for me in my home organizer role.  It makes sense that it is, because this is the time of year that our home responsibilities grow in order to juggle all of the added social events, extended family and friend visits, decorating, speciality baking, shopping, gift wrapping and the list goes on...

And then we welcomed January.  The supposedly “slower” month.  The thing is, most of us may still be dealing with the residual holiday effects.  Maybe your lights are still strung up outside because you just can’t seem to find the time to take them down.  Or if you have young children, you feel like their toy and clothing collections are bursting at the seams after adding in what was received during the holidays.  Your garage and attic may appear to have exploded over the course of the past few months because it was just easier to toss things in and “get to it later”.   Not to mention tax season is upon us and your home office and paperwork piles have you cringing at the thought of getting it all sorted.

If you find yourself wondering how you will get it all done without cutting into your much deserved and precious little free time, I may have the answer for you.

This year, I am adding a new service to my lineup - Home Management.  Are you jumping out of your seat in excitement like I am?!  I will meet with you for a complimentary consultation and we will discuss how I can best help you and your family over the course of the year.   

This will mean different things to different people, but let me give you some examples of the customizable options available to you.  

To begin, we will determine if you would like a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly visit from me and decide upon the length of time you would like to block out for the visits.  I do require a 3 hour minimum, but just imagine the possibilies, especially if you decide to have me blocked out for at least 3 hours on a weekly basis.

Then, we will discuss if you desire to have your house organized in it’s entirety and maintained once organized.  I would break down a schedule to reflect the rotation of areas to be organized and then once the entire home has been gone through, I will cycle back through to maintain the systems put into place. 

If you have a more specific request - home office organization and paperwork retention, all areas in the home having to do with children, a fully organized kitchen and meal plan/shopping list in place, ongoing home projects/to-dos, a downsize in your future and a desire to live more simply with less “stuff”, the need for someone to manage your returns, set up a yard/garage sale and the list goes on,  I will create a plan that balances your needs and works for you.
